High heels help girls in non-profit organization

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- The women focused company is called Day 2 Night and they specialize in making products for women on the go.

Candice Cabe, creator of Day 2 Night said "Our whole concept is for busy women that are going straight from the office out at night. They might want to change up their look and not have to carry so many things with them to make their outfit look appropriate."

The line of products include a high heel shoe that changes heights depending on what you want, a bangle bracelet that holds a hair tie, a purse that transform into a backpack and much more.

While Day 2 Night is helping to make fashion easy for women on the go but it's also helping young girls.

"We're donating a portion of our sales to the Girl on the Run organization because I believe every girl should be active and full of self esteem." said Candice

The donations will help Girls on the Run sponsor young girls into their program.

Karen Tindal, Executive Director of Girls on the Run said "It cost around $120 dollars for girls to enter our after school program but if a family cannot afford it we sponsor them."

Karen calls Girls on the Run a "gift" for young girls because it helps them build self esteem and confidence to be the best they can be.

"We focus on getting the girls active but that isn't entire focus. We teach them about self awareness, healthy relationships, self esteem and how to be positive." said Kelly Eldridge, a coach for Girls on the Run.
