KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The East Tennessee History Center in Knoxville is presenting a free book signing and lecture on the new book, "The Great Smoky Mountains National Park."
The book is part of Arcadia Publishing's popular Postcard History Series and features more than 200 vintage postcards from public and private collections. The book illustrates the story of the park's establishment, following its transformation to the most visited national park in the United States.
Author Adam Alfrey is the operations manager and curator of exhibitions for the East Tennessee History Center. The lecture and book signing takes place at the center on Saturday at 2 p.m.
