KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A homeless man in Knoxville was arrested after allegedly throwing a rock at a police cruiser Sunday morning.
According to KPD, Officer Jeff Allgood was on patrol around 3:00 AM when a large rock hit the window and door on the driver's side of his cruiser.
Police say the incident took place while Allgood was driving on Jackson Ave viaduct east of Gay Street.
Allgood and other responding officers say they watched the suspect, 29-year-old Corey Isbell, take off by foot toward the Norfolk Southern train yard.
A K-9 unit responded and was able to quickly find Isbell in a wooded area.
Officers say the dog bit Isbell in the legs, which allowed police to take him into custody.
All officers involved were not hurt.
Isbell is facing charges of felony aggravated assault, felony vandalism, evading arrest, criminal trespassing on railroad property, and public intoxication.
