Horse Haven warns of imposters trying to get horses

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Horse Haven volunteers are warning folks about an imposter picking up and buying horses from people.

According to Executive Director Nina Margetson, the person is claiming to be a Horse Haven Representative. She said it may be for ill gain.

Margetson said volunteers don't purchase horses and don't pick them up without proper identification.

The person was last seen driving a dark colored RV with a white horse trailer.
