KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- With only a few days left until Halloween the hunt is on for the most popular costume this year for you, your pet and the kids!

Andrew Thress, a manager at Target said "Halloween is kind of a unique holiday it's not like Christmas were people try to get it done all ahead of time the really big time for Halloween is these last two weeks before."

A perfect time to find out what's been flying off the shelves and as Andrew told us "We have this giant banana suit and a gorilla suit. Everyone seems to love the outfits and they have been really popular."

Also, popular this year are political costumes including Obama/Romney masks and Big Bird. But don't forget the classics like Zombies, Super Heroes, and witches.

Now for kids there's not much of a change from adult costumes according to Andrew "All the super heroes; Iron Man, the Advangers, Batman, Robin basically all the big time movies that came out this year."

As for girls, not much of a surprise but princess costumes seem to be a big hit.

There's also one more member of the family that you can't forget-- your pet.

"I'm really surprised at the amount of pet costumes we sell! We had plenty to choose from earlier in the month and now we're down to just the slim pickings." said Andrew

But have no fear, there's still plenty of "spooktacular" costumes to grab up before Halloween.
