DANDRIDGE, Tenn. (AP) -- It's a slow drive eastbound on Interstate 40 near Dandridge.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a tractor-trailer truck and eastbound traffic was being diverted for 9 miles between exits 415 and 424. A THP dispatcher at the Fall Branch post said the eastbound lanes of I-40 would be closed "for quite some time."
Two lanes reopened shortly after 9:00 a.m., but TDOT officials said trafic was backed up for 2 miles.
There were no serious injuries in the crash.
Westbound traffic wasn't affected.
