Ice cream truck robbed

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- A Knoxville ice cream truck was robbed at gunpoint Friday night.

According to Knoxville Police, Teresa Robinson, 55, was driving her truck on The Hague when she was flagged down.

That's when she told police a man approached the truck’s rear window with a handgun. Another man was with him and they got away with $300 in cash, according to the police report.

Robinson was not injured.

Police say the victim described the men as Hispanic, about 25 years old, 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. They were last seen running north on The Hague toward Dutch Valley Drive just before 7:30 p.m.
