NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A plan to put 'In God We Trust' on the state capitol is moving forward.
A bill, sponsored be State Senator Stacey Campfield, passed the Tennessee Monday evening.
Some lawmakers questioned why Tennessee would put a national motto on a state building. But in the end, the bill easily passed.
The House will vote on its version of the bill on Wednesday.
