Infant flown to hospital with burns

CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Firefighters say they pulled an infant from a burning home outside of Crossville on Thursday afternoon.

The Crossville Fire Chief, Mike Turner, says they were called around 2pm central to a home that was involved when they arrived. Turner says an adult man and child escaped the fire. He said an 8-month-old was flown to the hospital after suffering burns.

Firefighters are on scene and trying to figure out what started the fire.
