JELLICO,Tenn. (WVLT) -- Kids at Jellico High School are having to rotate classes in order to stay warm. Apparently, there have been some technical difficulties with their new automated Trane heating and cooling system overhaul.
Larry Nidiffer, secondary supervisor of the school, says the system trouble should be fixed by the end of the week. They system was set up so they could regulate the temperature more efficiently by having the heat higher when school is in session, and at night, having the heat lower when no one is there.
He also says there is one unit down and they had to emergency order a replacement. It is due to arrive mid next week and will take a couple days to install.
Until then, kids will have to rotate through a few rooms in order to stay the warmest. At least temperatures are going to be coming up through the rest of the week
