JELLICO, Tenn. (WVLT)- A Facebook post by an East Tennessee nurse, spurs a community's kindness into action.

Leslie Silcox helped organize Saturday's event at the Jellico Civic Center. It's all to help victims of Superstorm Sandy.

18 hundred dollars was raised. And plenty of bags of clothes, bottles of water and the like, were donated.

Silcox says she's moved by the outpouring of support.
"I just felt God really moving me to do something. To get the community together. And they have, in a huge way."

An auction will also be held to try and raise even more money.
