KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A job fair was held Saturday morning for the growing Hispanic population in East Tennessee.
The Knoxville Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosted the event at Pellissippi State Community College.
The fair is one of several intended to introduce workers to employers in need of bilingual, Spanish speaking employees.
Organizers say there has been enthusiasm for the fairs and two people have been placed in jobs as a result.
More than 1,000 jobs were presented to be filled and more than 20 major employers showed up.
"The economy is rebounding. We're seeing a really good indicator with all of these jobs, but as soon as we get them filled you're going to see the economy really bounce back. You're talking about hundreds and hundreds of great paying jobs with great companies," says Jerry Griffin.
You can also post your resume and check out the jobs listed on the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's website.
