KARM Dinner of Hope

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.(WVLT)--The Knox Area Rescue Ministries "Dinner of Hope" helped support the agencies many programs Tuesday night.

For decades KARM has provided rescue services of food and shelter and what they call restoration including job training opportunities.

Alan Williams had the honor of being the emcee of the event. Over 400
attendees heard stores ranging from inner city pastor Doug Bannister to one woman, Lisa Smith, who lost everything to addition.
"All that down to a bag of dirty clothes and no hope begging God to just
take my life, and you've been working your way up..He said no way Lisa.

Lisa now works at KARM and happily says she's now on the road to recovery
