KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating after a Knoxville Police officer was involved in a crash Friday night.
It happened on Andersonville Pike at Emory Road near Halls High School just before 11:00 p.m. Several vehicles were involved in the crash, including a sedan and a pick-up truck.
According to THP, Waylon Blake Etherton, 24, of Fredricksburg, VA was charged with DUI. He was taken into custody at the scene of the accident.
When THP and the Knox County Sheriff's Department arrived on scene, they found no one injured.
The off-duty KPD officer was not injured and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
THP is conducting the crash investigation.
