KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A 45 year-old man is accused of raping a 12 year-old boy last March. Christopher Howard is charged with one count of Rape of a Child and is being held on $1 million bond, according to the Knoxville Police Dept.
A KPD spokesperson added that they've identified several other juvenile victims and more charges may be on the way as the investigation continues.
According to police, they were notified of the alleged rape on March 11th. The warrant said Howard touched the boy with his hands and mouth.
They noted the victim did not live with Howard, but three other boys were in his care at the time. They were removed from his home and placed in state custody on the same day officials learned of the initial attack.
Their investigation has led them to several other possible victims, both male and female, and the spokesperson said authorities expect additional charges will be forthcoming.
