KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- Good tunes were a draw to help Second Harvest of East Tennessee fill it's shelves for the holiday season.
It was part of a benefit organized by students at Karns High School, where local musician Brad Blackwell entertained an audience of more than one hundred people.
To get in, you needed to pay three dollars or donate two cans of food. All proceeds will go feed the area's needy.
It's a project that junior Rebecca Denton is proud to be part of.
Denton says, "We're really big into Second Harvest. And like Thanksgiving Day baskets, providing for our community so this really just helps us. It makes us just so happy. "
Denton says there was a bigger turnout than she expected.
