Katelyn Norman is laid to rest

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Last week Katelyn Norman lost her battle with cancer. On Tuesday, family and friends buried her at Bakers Forge Cemetery in Campbell County.

The Shepherd's Riding Club held a special ride to her funeral. They also escorted her through LaFollette last week. Riding on the back of one of those bikes was on Katelyn's bucket list, but at the time she was too weak to make it out of the car. Prom was also on her bucket list. Friends and family brought the celebration to her hospital room. UT football players visited her as well.

"I think she touched everybody in our club. and many other clubs obviously that were there today," said Gary Christian, with the Shepherd's Riding Club.

"That little girl changed my life. She really like changed my life. Words can't explain how much I look up to that young lady," said Marlon Walls, a UT senior defensive lineman.

If you'd like to help Katelyn's family with medical bills, you can make a donation at Y-12 Federal Credit Union.
