KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knox Co. Commissioner Jeff Ownby's attorney Greg Isaacs appeared in court Friday and waived his client's right to a preliminary hearing. Ownby's case now heads to the Grand Jury.
Ownby, 45, was arrested along with another man, 53 year-old John McCracken, after patrolling officers found them engaged in oral sex in Sharps Ridge Park late last month, according to the Knoxville Police Dept.
Police said neither man was trying to hide what he was doing. The arrest warrant for McCracken also noted he crossed into an area where a "No Trespassing" sign was posted, leading to an additional trespassing charge for him.
Ownby was charged with indecent exposure
