Knox Co. Health Dept. raises awareness about domestic violence

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. Knox County Health Department raises awareness about domestic violence.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month, a problem that plagues Tennessee. The Knox County Health Department is working to fight the problem by offering programs and resources for victims and families.

Karen Stier, violence prevention educator, said there are many resources to help in our community, including the Family Justice Center. The center has a 24/7 Family Violence Helpline. Just call (865) 521-6336. You can also visit the center's website
