KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knox County Sheriff's Office is looking for volunteers to help out a program called SCAN.
This is special program designed to help check on the safety and security of our older citizens.
Volunteers wear uniforms and drive KCSO cars, as they evaluate a senior's safety at their home, give out tips, and report any emergency situation.
You must be 21 to apply, which includes a background check and driver history check. There will also be a two week training class.
Once signed up you're required to work two days a month.
