KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - Knox County Commissioner Ed Shouse has announced that he will be a candidate for Trustee.
Shouse released the following statement about his candidacy:
"The main role of Trustee is collecting and investing the county's tax dollars, hundreds of millions of dollars a year, so having someone with a business and financial background, like myself, makes sense."
Shouse says he will officially file papers in November to become a candidate.
Shouse is expected to face off against Craig Leuthold, the interim Trustee.
The general election will be held in May.
