Knox County, Ky deputies say suspect took 'selfie' before burglary

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT/WVLT) -- Deputies in Knox County have arrested a man in connection with a burglary of a business in Knox County.

It happened at the Copes Market at the intersection of KY830 and KY1232 in the Gray/Corbin community.

Deputies were able to recover nearly all of the stolen items from the burglary.

Police have arrested Kevin R Lawson in connection with the burglary. Lawson is charged with Burglary 1st degree and Criminal Mischief 1st degree.

The sheriff's office reports that Lawson had worn gloves during the burglary which were located in a neighbor's yard.

They also found a selfie on Lawson's phone that he had taken of himself wearing the mask prior to the burglary.
