Knox County Schools receives grant for after-school program

A new half a million dollar grant will help keep kids out of trouble and off the streets.

The cash is going towards after school activities throughout schools in Knox County.

The students won't just do homework and study - they'll get a chance to take fieldtrips.

Right now, the only schools offering the program are
Christenberry Elementary , Green Magnet Elementary, Lonsdale , Pond Gap, Sarah Moore Greene, Spring Hill and Vine Middle Magnet School.

If you're interested in signing up - contact the participating schools.
