Knoxville Breakfast Rotary Club sponsors school beautification day

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Trimming, digging, and raking were all part of the beautification process at Blue Grass Elementary School Saturday.

Knoxville Breakfast Rotary Club sponsored the school's second annual 'Beautification Day.'

It's a team effort that involves PTA members, parents, students, and all the rotary members working together to improve the school grounds.

"People don't realize how important it is to have this resource. If they're not here with us, it's up to us to have a beautification day of our own,” says principal Sandy Roach.

Roach says it's just one of the small ways the organization supports the school.

Rotary members say they also have plans to help update the school's video equipment in the future.
