KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Plenty of people cooled down on this first day of summer with an ice cold brew at the Knoxville BrewFest Saturday.
The gates opened at 4 p.m. with more than 85 breweries, 200 craft beers to taste and a handful of food vendors. More than 2,000 people were expected to attend.
"Some of the breweries brew beer especially for the festival, we'll have some cask beer, many of the breweries brew something special for the festival," says founder of the festival Martin Daniel.
Water was provided for those enjoying the libations.
