LOCAL 8 WEATHER ALERT: Patches of black ice are possible, even on roads that have been cleared, because of refreezing. We have at least several inches of snow on the ground across East Tennessee. Some roads may be unplowed or untreated, make driving difficult with packed snow and ice.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Hockey players from the Knoxville Ice Bears traded their sticks and skates for brushes and blow dryers all for charity.
Women from around the area paid $50.00 to reserve a spot for an array of salon services at The Color Bar Salon and Spa.
They could choose from a shampoo service provided by a Knoxville Ice Bear followed by a Professional Style-Out Service, a professional manicure followed by a Knoxville Ice Bear Pink Polish Service and a Glo-Minerals Makeup makeover provided by a Salon Professional being assisted by a Knoxville Ice Bear!
All the money raised goes right back to Susan G. Komen of Knoxville. The Color Bar Salon and Spa will also donate all the tips gathered from Tuesday's event.
If you would like to donate, but can’t make it to the event, please contact Clint Roberts , Salon Coordinator, for “The Color Bar” at 865-640-5006
