KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville police spent Wednesday night investigating a shooting on Beaumont Avenue.
Around 8:45 PM, a woman approached a home and asked to use the phone. Once she got the phone, two men rushed the front door. One of them was armed with a gun.
The homeowner slammed the door shut, but was hit when the man fired through the doorway.
The homeowner was taken to UT Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
