Knoxville lawyer announces bid for U.S. Senate

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A Knoxville lawyer has announced that he will run for the U.S. Senate next year.

Democrat Terry Adams says he hopes issues within the Republican Party will help his campaign succeed.

State Rep. Joe Carr is challenging Senator Lamar Alexander for the GOP bid.

Democrat Larry Crim and Republican Brenda Lenard have also announced they'll run.
