KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Knoxville man has has been arrested in connection with a gang-related attempted murder in Anderson County.
Cameron Reid Lowry, age 35, of Powell, has been charged with attempted first degree murder and aggravated assault.
Anderson County investigators say the case stems from the assault and attempted murder of a 31-year-old Oak Ridge man in November 2013.
The investigation has been underway for several months and is a cooperative effort between the Anderson County Sheriff's Department and the 7th Judicial District Crime Task Force.
The District Attorney General's Office will seek enhanced penalties in this case because the offender is a member of a criminal gang.
