Ky boy in hospital after falling into Pigeon Forge hotel pool

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A child is at East Tennessee Children's Hospital after falling into a pool at the Holiday Inn in Pigeon Forge Sunday night.

Police say the child wasn't breathing when they arrived, and they had to perform CPR.

Officers say the father, Jonathan Abdoo, of Carrollton, Ky., told them he was playing a video game in the pool area. When he finished, he noticed his son was missing.

He started searching the hotel until another guest spotted the boy in the pool.

Adboo jumped into the pool, pulled him out, and started performing CPR.

Police say Abdoo wasn't drinking and wasn't on drugs.
