OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (UT Release) -- After practice at Thompson-Boling Arena and travel to Oklahoma City on Friday, the No. 2 seed Tennessee Lady Volunteers (26-7) got down to business at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Saturday.
UT opened its trip to the NCAA Sweet 16 with media activities on Saturday and followed with a 90-minute practice on the home court of the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Big Orange women were the first team on the schedule for both events, and will have the opportunity to get back to the team hotel and rest up for tomorrow’s 4:35 p.m. Eastern time (3:35 p.m. CT) tussle with No. 6 seed Oklahoma (24-10). ESPN2 will have the telecast, with Pam Ward and Rebecca Lobo calling the game and Maria Taylor serving as the sideline reporter.
The Lady Vols’ plans for the remainder of the day call for them to get a bite to eat, stay off their feet, spend some time studying and participate in some team building this evening. Activities will include an Easter egg decorating contest and a movie at the hotel. Check UTSports.com Saturday night to see the latest edition of the Lady Vol Diaries, which will chronicle those activities.
