SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A few tickets remain for the Smoky Mountain Celebration to benefit Sevier County High School minor sports teams. This is the first year for the raffle.
A group of folks in Sevier County have gathered a pick-up truck, Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and dozens of other prizes to help raise money. The group is selling 3,000 tickets at $100 a piece. In all the group hopes to raise $150,000 dollars for the school.
"We've done everything under the sun, and somebody came up with the idea to lump everything together, lump everything together in a giant co-op," said Rich Benjamin with Smoky Mountain Celebration. "We'll sell tickets to raffle off some great prizes like the truck that you see, the camper, the Harleys."
The prize give-a-way will happen on Saturday at Smokies Stadium from Noon-3pm. The drawings will happen ever 5 minutes.
To buy a ticket now, you can call 865-429-5267 at the River Plantation RV Campground, or stop by. You can pick up tickets at the stadium on Saturday.
You do not need to be present to win and organizers say they've sold several to folks out of Sevier County.
