LENOIR CITY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- It was a great day to get the docks rockin' on Fort Loudon Lake Saturday.
Each year, thousands of people head to Lenoir City Park for the all day festival to kick off Memorial Day weekend with live music, food, play areas for the kids, and a big fireworks show.
This year was no different.
"It's almost like the kick off to summer. It seems like this is the event boaters first get their boat out on the water and folks come on land too, to start off the summer season," says Steve Harrelson with the Lenoir City Parks and Recreation Department.
In addition to all of that, free paddle board demonstrations were available earlier in the day.
