Lifeguard classes offered in Sevierville

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Anyone who would like to be a certified lifeguard, can enroll in a class being offered by the City of Sevierville.

The city's parks and recreation department is offering the class at the Sevierville Community Center on the following dates and times.

-March 1, 2013 @ 5:00PM (Skills test. Only the top 8 students will advance into the class.)
-March 9, 10, 16 and 17, 2013 8:30AM-4:00PM.

Participants must be at least 15-years old, pass the March 1 skills test, and register before attending classes. The course fee of $120.00 is due after the skills test on March 1.
