KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) Two Vietnam vets were honored at an East Knoxville restaurant and they didn't expect it!
Harry Carroll and John Wolfe, who both fought in the Vietnam War, thought they were just grabbing a bite to eat, but it turned into much more.
"It means the world to me, I mean I never expected to get invited to a ceremony here for veterans," says Wolfe.
Both of them were greeted at the door by cheerleaders and musicians.
Carroll said when he came home from the war, he never got the recognition like the one he did today. He says, "I forgot along time ago about not being welcomed back home, but its nights like this that make up for that,"
The event was part of the grand re-opening of the O'Charleys near Knoxville Center.
