Lucky 13: KARM opens 13th thrift store Thursday

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knox Area Rescue Ministries will open its 13th thrift store in Oak Ridge on Thursday. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. with a dedication and ribbon cutting infron of the new shop, 461 Oak Ridge Turnpike.

"The KARM Thrift Stores are a valuable resource for the entire community. They provide quality, affordable products, employment for many, and an avenue for giving back," said Burt Rosen, President and CEO of Knox Area Rescue Ministries.

KARM will celebrate its new location with special discount prices at all of its locations. The ministry's stores offer gently used clothing furniture, and household appliances.

"With over 52 years of ministry in the Knoxville area, we're pleased to be able to offer this increase in jobs and services during an uncertain economy," added Rosen.
