KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (SUBMITTED) -- A Knox County Sheriff’s Office Bailiff used his taser on a man who refused to leave the courtroom and then kicked another bailiff during a hearing in Criminal Court, Thursday morning around 10.
Ricky Davis, 46, whose son was in custody in the courtroom, became belligerent, shouting and cursing and refused to leave. He struggled with Bailiff L.B. Steele and kicked him.
Bailiff Terry Branson then used his taser on Davis and took him into custody.
Davis was not injured and will be charged with assault on an officer and resisting arrest. Steele did not require medical treatment.
