GATLINBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Pigeon Forge man has hiked 365 miles after challenging himself to raise money for an all inclusive playground.
Bruce Wilson got sponsors to pay him for every mile he hiked. He's now completed the 365 miles, one for every day.
All-Inclusive Playground is that all children can play, exercise, socialize and have fun on the same playground. The playground includes pieces that physically and mentally challenged and average kids can be attracted to use.
"Hopefully all this will come in where brothers and sisters, or just kids that are in wheel chairs can come in and enjoy a playground just like everybody else," said Wilson.
The Pigeon Forge Rotary Club is raising money to help build the new playground with the Forever Parks Foundation.
The new All-Inclusive playground at Wear Farm Park will cost nearly $350,000 and so far nearly have has been raised. A dedication for the park was held on Wednesday where the Rotary Club donated $100,000.
