MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- A burglary attempt leads police in Blount County to a meth lab.
The find was made at a home on Wildwood Road, in Maryville, around 8 p.m. on Sunday.
The sheriff's office tells Local 8 News that a near-by family was having Mother's Day dinner, when they discovered people were trying to break into their garage.
A neighbor followed the suspects to the suspected meth house...and called 911.
When police arrived, they found that meth had been cooked recently in the home's basement...using what's called a "one pot" method.
10 people from inside the home were decontaminated, but it's not clear how many will face charges.
The Tennessee Methamphetamine Task Force was called to the scene.
