RHEA COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)-- A body found in River in Rhea County believed to be that of Thomas Snow, the Houston, TX man last seen in Knoxville. Searchers found the body Saturday in an area popular for fishing. The body has been sent to UT Forensics Center for an autopsy and for positive ID.
The search began after police found Snow's car with his keys, phone and golf clubs inside. When officers ran the license tag, they learned relatives in Houston, Texas had reported him missing.
His sister Megan Snow said Snow was returning home from the East Coast. She said her brother had plans to play golf over the weekend., and the last she heard of him, he was staying at the Holiday Inn in Knoxville.
Instead, his car was found stranded in Rhea County Saturday morning at a remote area for hunters.
"We just don't know what to think. We just want to find him," Megan Snow said.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Rhea County Sheriff's Department.
