Morristown Police: Son in car during DUI crash

HAMBLEN COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Morristown Police Department has charged a 34-year-old mother with child neglect and endangerment after a crash early Christmas morning.

Officers say Michelle Epps' 12-year-son was a passenger when she crashed around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday. Epps' live in boyfriend, Josh Wildcat, 22, was also in the car.

All three walked to their apartment on Brights Pike after the crash.

Officers were dispatched to their apartment to investigate a disturbance where they say they found Epps and Wildcat very intoxicated.

The police report also says the 12-year-old told officers he had not eaten since breakfast the previous day.

Epps’ son was placed in temporary police custody and later released to a grandparent.
