Motorcyclist dies in West Knox County head-on wreck

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Knox County Sheriff's Office says a Knoxville man was killed when his Harley hit a truck head-on.

It happened Saturday around 9:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of Swafford Road.

Officers say 56-year-old Ernest McFall's 1994 motorcycle crossed into the wrong lane. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the 1998 Ford pick-up, 28-year-old Colin Wittner, was not hurt.

Officers from the KCSO Traffic Unit were still on the scene around 11:00 p.m.

The investigation continues.
