Bridges at Riverside bringing new life to S. Knoxville riverfront

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- City leaders want to breathe new life into the south Knoxville riverfront. On Tuesday, they gathered together along Volunteer Landing Lane to unveil the new Bridges at Riverside project.

The multi-million dollar development will feature between 300 and 350 brand-new, upscale apartments as well as enough student housing for hundreds of undergrads.

The project also includes plans for a 150-room hotel, along with 40,000 sq. feet of retail space.

Right at the heart of the Bridges at Riverside will be a large public forum, while a greenway traces the river bank.
