JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (AP) -- A murder trial for one of four people connected to the killings of an East Tennessee couple is underway in Washington County.
The Johnson City Press reports a jury on Monday began hearing details about the shooting deaths of Billy Clay Payne and Billie Jean Hayworth.
On trial is Marvin "Buddy" Potter Jr. Three others are facing murder charges in the case: Potter's wife, Barbara Potter; their daughter, Janelle Potter; and Jamie Curd, who was described by prosecutors as a cousin and workmate of Payne who had "some love interest with Janelle Potter."
Officials have said the victims were in a dispute with Potter's adult daughter after they removed her as a friend from their Facebook page.
