KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) Young-Williams Animal Center is celebrating Adopt-a-Cat Month with an adoption fee special that allows potential adopters to name their own price.
"We believe potential pet owners will amaze us with the value they place on their new furry friends," said Young-Williams Animal Center CEO Jeff Ashin.
During the month of June the center is allowing adopters to determine the price for cats and kittens on the adoption floor. By doing so, Young-Williams Animal Center hopes to inspire individuals to adopt cats without the price being a concern.
Normal adoption fees include a veterinary physical exam, spay/neuter surgery, some standard vaccinations, a microchip with registration and more. Some of the adoptable pets have already been sponsored by generous donors, meaning that the adoption fees are already covered.
