SMYRNA, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Tennessee National Guard will try to help veterans, reservists, and their families find work in middle Tennessee next week, Tennessee Adjutant General Maj. General Max Huston announced a hiring fair for next Friday, August 23.
The military is like a big family,” said Maj. Gen. Haston. “We’re all taught to look out for our buddies and hosting Hiring Fairs for our military families is one way of doing just that."
"Some service members have returned from Iraq or Afghanistan to find the place where they used to work is no longer in business, and now they’re out there looking. We’re trying to help them every way we can,” he continued.
The fair will be held Smyrna Towne Center, 100 Sam Ridley Parkway, Smyrna, TN 37167 from 1 to 4 p.m.
