Fatal crash on I-40 kills one person

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - We now know the name of the person who died Tuesday morning after a crash on Interstate 40 between Asheville Highway and Interstate 640. All lanes of traffic are moving again as emergency crews clear the scene.

Authorities say a Honda Accord and a tractor trailer collided just after midnight Tuesday. That caused the tractor trailer driver to lose control and flip onto its side.

A passenger in the semi truck's sleeping compartment was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was Aaron W. Wilkerson of Lafayette, TN.

The driver of the semi and Honda only suffered minor injuries.
