KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) One person's recovering in the hospital and one's in police custody after climbing a water tower in south Knoxville Wednesday morning.
This happened at a tower off of Cherokee Trail.
Knoxville Police say a man called 911 to report that his friend had fallen from a ladder and was hurt.
Police say the men were inside the fencing around the tower, which is marked with multiple posted signs warning about penalties for trespassing.
The man who was injured has been identified as Bryan Henerson. Police say he fell from a suspended ladder at the water tower. Henderson was taken to UT Medical Center.
The man who called 911 was uninjured. On questioning, he told police that he had been drinking and had taken Xanax. Ellison was arrested and taken to jail. He's been charged with criminal trespassing and public intoxication.
Henderson has been cited for criminal trespassing.
