Palmer man gets 25 years for producing child porn

PALMER, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Palmer man was sentenced to 25 years behind bars after pleading guilty to producing child pornography in February. Forty-five year-old Jimmy Rollins will also have to serve five years supervised release and was fined a $100 special assessment, the U.S. Dept. of Justice announced on Monday.

Rollins was captured after the Winchester Police Dept. determined he was using the internet to spread pornographic images of children in February of last year and launched an investigation with the help of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

A search of his home three months later found equipment to produce child pornography and multiple pictures and videos of Rollins engaged in sexual activity with a minor. All of the images appeared to be taken in Rollins bedroom, the Justice Dept. added.

Rollins had been convicted in 1994 of two counts of statutory rape in Grundy County.
