Pets celebrate the holiday season by visiting Santa

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- You typically take children to visit with Santa Claus, but what about the other members of your family?

Pets now have the chance to sit on Kris Kringle's lap - all to help their four-legged friends.

The 8th annual Santa Paws benefits the Young-Williams Animal Center.

"You purchase your packages and pictures and whatever that you need online this year, so there is no registration. You can just show up with your pet and it's very simple," said Director of Outreach Amy Johnston.

There is no sitting fee, either.

Santa Paws was at the Agri Feed Pet Supply this weekend. The benefit will continue on December 7 at Village Veterinary Medical Center. It will also be held at Young-Williams Animal Center on December 7 and 8.
